About Meridian
Meridian Hotel Atlas is an independent travel guide to hotels that are worth the journey in their own right. We write for travellers who want to understand a place before they book: when to go, how to get there, what to eat and how to behave once they arrive.
Who we are
Meridian is published by OMD AS, registered at Frøyas gate 15, Postboks 1165 Sentrum, 0107 Oslo, Norway. You can reach the editorial team at [email protected] or on our contact page.
What we do and don't do
- We publish free editorial guides, planning tools and original illustrations.
- We do not sell rooms, take bookings, take payments or act as an agent for any hotel.
- We do not offer, operate or link to gambling services. Where a hotel we cover contains a casino, we describe it factually for travellers' awareness, with age rules and responsible gambling information.
- We are not affiliated with any hotel, hotel group or casino operator named on this site.
Editorial policy
How hotels are chosen
Our editors choose hotels for the strength of their architecture, setting, food and service, and for range across regions and travel styles. Where we cite an industry ranking, such as The World's 50 Best Hotels, we name it and the year.
Independence
No hotel pays to be included, and no hotel reviews or approves what we write before publication. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, we will label them clearly on the page where they appear.
Accuracy and corrections
Room counts, journey times, temperatures, prices and entry rules change. We present them as indicative and review pages regularly. If you spot an error, email [email protected] and we will check and correct it.
Images
The illustrations on this site are original artworks created for Meridian. They are artistic impressions of each hotel's setting, not photographs, and they do not show actual rooms or facilities.
Our team
Meridian is written and edited by the Meridian editorial team. Each guide is reviewed before publication and checked again at least once a year. Read how we choose and describe hotels.
Every hotel dossier shows the month it was last reviewed. To suggest a correction, use our contact page.
Advertising
We may run advertising, including through Google Ads, to bring readers to our guides. Advertising never influences which hotels we include or what we say about them. See our privacy policy for how advertising cookies are used, and change your choices at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
